Principle of the assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with anti-human IgM. Samples are pipetted into the wells and any human hantavirus (HV) antibody (IgM) present is bound by the pre-coated anti-human IgM. After washing, antigen conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound antigen-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of human hantavirus (HV) antibody (IgM) bound in the initial step.
